Final reflection

From this project I have learned many different things about Floyd Mayweather jr. And some of those things were new or old. This project helped me learn many different things about myself that I need to change.

The thing that I learned and that surprised me were all the different injuries that could happen to you. And some of those injuries could possibly be life changing If it happens.  But the other thing that I learned about the health risks is that there at  some health advantages also and some of them are really good.

During this project I learned that Floyd Mayweather jr has a foundation that helps children that don't have anything. And when I found that out I thought that it was a good thing because I think we need more celebrities that would do that for the children. And I also found out during my research that Floyd promotes fights and he also promotes different fighter that are in different weight classes.

The thing that was really hard about this project was to find something about Floyd that was kind of a how-to do something. That post I thought was the hardest and in the end I didn't do that post because I couldn't find anything that would work for the post. But I think that this was the hardest thing to find out of all the posts that we did.

The other thing that I thought was most difficult about this project was getting everything done on time. The reason why is because there was so much stuff that you had to find in a short period of time that you were kind of like overwhelmed because you knew that if you didn't get it done during class or at home you were behind. And I need to learn how to stay on task and get things done when they need to be done.

The thing that I thought was most rewarding was that I learned new things about myself.   The things that were rewarding are finishing large projects that take a number of weeks to do and finish the project on time. Those were the two main things that were rewarding about this project.

The other thing that was rewarding during this project is when the teacher took out two posts and and instead of ten posts we have eight posts. I think that was a big sign of relief because then you know that you can take longer on each post and trying to get it the best you possibly can. And we took a week each on the last two posts and it got a lot better because you know that you did your best on it.

So during this project it had its ups and downs, but all together I liked the project because you got to learn different things about people that you usually wouldn't get to research everyday.

Floyd Mayweather jr. is known for being a professional boxer. And with being a professional boxer money comes along with it besides fame. So as of 2012 Floyd  Mayweather jr has a net worth of 115 million dollars. Is known for boxing, but he is also known for is astound record which is 43 wins and 0 losses with 23 of those wins as a knockout.  He has been able to keep that record a perfect one from the start when he started his professional boxing career. And I think that it is a good thing because with a record like that you should be able to make really good money which he is so I think this would have to be in my view his accomplishment number 1. And according to boxrec he has fought over the United States of America. And he deserved/ earned where he is at with his professional record.

Health advantages and disadvantages

The reason why is chose to compare and contrast the topics health advantages and health disadvantages for boxing is because this is a huge part of boxing because of the risks that are involved. And I wanted to know what the health advantages and disadvantages were.

Boxing is a brutal sport these days. And with knowing that there could be some injuries that go with it. Those injuries would have to be a health disadvantage for boxing, because if you get hurt enough you could change your life and your family’s life as you know it. One wrong move and you could come out of that ring either blind or with a concussion or even brain damage. People whom have boxed for a number of years they might develop what is called "punch drunk" and that means a person getting hit in the head for many years and who has brain damage from it.

Even tho boxing is a brutal sport there could be some health advantage for boxing. Boxing is a sport that you have to be determined, mentally fit and physically fit.  There are things that you can do to become ready to step into the ring. The main things that you need to be good at are speed, endurance, and strength with those you are more likely to stay a little more healthy. Boxing is a good sport for exercise because you are always moving around and you always have to be in tip-top shape.

With all the injuries that go along with boxing It might be unhealthy getting beaten up. There are always a few things that you can do to help avoid getting hit and maybe a stay a little more healthy.  www.livestrong.com There was a study done. “And the study was researched by the central and eastern clinical study. And they had a team of 47 boxers that were studied and they had 21 injuries that were logged at a rate of 2 injuries per 1,000 hours of boxing. And 71% of those injuries were related to the head, and with concussions for 1/3 of those tallies”. Having concussions are a bad thing because if you have one it means that you are more vulnerable to have another concussion. There is another way that you can do to avoid getting hurt is by training and with a lot of tranning you are more likely to avoid getting hurt.

There are many differences between the health risks of boxing and the health advantages. And one of the differences are www.livestrong.com said “ CTE is found in athletes, including boxing as a result of multiple brain trauma. Tissue within the brain designates effecting the behavior”. So what this is basically saying is that if you get hit in the head to many times you are likely to get brain damage. The other difference is that www.livestrong.com said that boxing can be a great stress reliever. In particular the training part because while relieving stress you are also building strength.
